Just to add in some of my comments -

9) Does the porter walk together with us when climbing up to Laban Rata? Can few persons share 1 porter? Since they calculate by weight.

Why do you want them to walk with you? They are usually fast climber..hehe. So you must have a separate small size bag to store up waters and all the necessities like toilet paper, minyak cap kapak, energy bar, handphone (yes, it's a celcom area up till the peak) and rain coat. Also, Kinabalu park will provide you with a troublesome food container in plastic bag. So reserve some space in your back to keep it, otherwise, you will hold that bungkusan all the way up. Just imagine you bungkus two pack of rice and put it in a plastic bag and walk for the next 5 hours holding it....make us feel so clumsy...hehe

1) Is it convenient to get public transport from KK city to KK park? What is the price range for bus service from KK city to KK park?

The last time i went there, we stayed at Bornea backpackers. Nice people and clean environment. And the Bus station is just a stone throw away, with the police station right behind.

6) We plan to register at KK HQ 1 day ahead b4 climbing, so does it mean we can directly proceed to Timpohon Gate on the day of climbing without gather at the KK HQ?

Timpohan gate is about 5-6km from Kinabalu Park.

10) Does foodstuff sell at KK park such as energy bar, isotonic drinks, fruits sold at a reasonable rate and not tourist rate?

Why buy there when you can buy at KK? By the way, food and bread in KK is expensive. You will be surprised typical Kopitiam food over there is more expensive than in KL... As for isotonic drinks, go to a pharmacy and get those rehydration salt. 50cents per pack. To me, it's better to mix ourselves, not as gassy....

But then again, i find myself blurping and farting all the way up....causing some small scale air pollution ...:)

12) What other precautions we have to take when climbing Mt KK?

Do not be over obsessed with reaching the peak or overly worried about not reaching it. That's what i did the last time. Remember to enjoy the climb and take time to look at the surroundings, smell the flowers and immerse yourself into the natural surroundings....

It's the journey, not the destination....

If you can't make it to the peak, don't fret, just plan for another visit to Mount Kinabalu...like me...whoa hahahahaha......
