In my opinion this type of packages is targeted at the overseas market. As for Malaysian, by putting up with this type of marketing strategy, SSL is raking in the big bucks. It is people like you and me will have to fork out a fair bit if we take this package. Like what the good Dr said, it is more value for money if one were to take Air Asia and stayed at the numerous hostel found around KK town or near Kinabalu Park. Agree. Well, if there is a demand, anyone will do anything to lure them. A lot of agents tends to put in a vague details but to ensure you that you can get a place is really destroying the market..
