Mount Kinabalu Reservation – I show you my inbox…

Aiden and me received enormous amount of email, requesting us to speed up their booking with Sutera Sanctuary Lodges for their climbing trip. I know, we are a bit slow at the moment, as we just set up our reservation system and it’s only 2 of us are maintaining it. Since we launch our dedicated page to cater the request from 2nd of February, we have received 42 reservation, i.e. it’s about 2 request per day. It looks like not a lot to you, but for us, it is.

We are dedicated to give you the best service (although we are not a company, yet) and would like to make your trip to Mount Kinabalu as smooth as possible. So, we really have to plan properly. The process really take some time, as we want to give the best to our client.

For those who have sent us your request, I hope you could understand us. We will entertain your request as soon as possible. As evidence, I will show you a glimpse of my Gmail inbox for the reservation…

  1. Just to add my 2 cents here.

I am Aiden, and what Ruhaizad said was indeed correct. I am a Chinese and as you all know, Chinese New Year is just right here at this moment. But then, I did not attend to any Chinese New Year celebration this year. Start from the day 1 of Chinese New Year, I have been working my head off, to help all of those who are desperately in need of the accommodations in Laban Rata area.

Frankly speaking, out of 20++ groups, I was only managed to found those accommodations for about 10 groups of people. But only about 4 to 5 groups has successfully dealt with me. The other half has either not responded to my emails, or had canceled the bookings. It has been a mess situation for me, for those who has not responded to my emails. I have to wait until the last day before the company cancel my bookings. Over some period of time, if I keep on doing this, I am afraid I will be blacklisted because of mass booking, and mass canceling.

Probably our visitors don’t understand about that. Now that I have voiced out my situation here, hope that our dear visitors will understand about me and Ruhaizad’s situation.

Enough for now, I have to get back to the bookings now… Later~

  2. Love your site.

I have been reserching a climb up Gn. Kinabalu around the 20th of July or later. Have found it all rather confusing. If possible, would like to spend a couple nights in a dorm at Park HQ before the climb, a couple days at Laban Rata, and a return on the Mesilau trail. Would greatly appreciate any help.

    Best Regards,
    Larry Davis
