Mount Kinabalu silhouette, seen from Kota Belud as you pass by the bypass road from Kudat to Kota Kinabalu. Toyota Unser in front of my car is a local taxi.
Kundasang War Memorial. A place for remembering fallen heroes during WWII. Closely related to Sandakan Death March.
Kota Kinabalu skyline, seen from the observation tower, Signal Hill. It was taken about 5 years ago. Some of it has changed now. See if you can spot Atkinson Clock Tower.

“Bombon” is a traditional way of making the fish in our river gets big enough to be harvested. We are not allowed to fish from the river not during the dedicated time. If you are caught fishing, you can be fine – traditionally.

Tanjung Aru First Beach, morning with overcast sky. Sulug Island is at far upper right. A coke can on the sand showed that our beach is not as clean as you think it is.
Dream World Resort, Kundasang. A nice place to stay but a bit expensive. Just don’t eat in their restaurant. The food is horrible and I have complained that to the management.
Red durian, or some locals call it “durian dalit”. Yeah, there’s a lot of seeds that you can see there. It taste really horrible. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE durians! But not these red coloured ones!
Seahorse, Hippocampus sp. seen in an aquarium in the UMS (Universiti Malaysia Sabah) Aquarium and Marine Museum. Compare the seahorse size with my wife’s beautiful hand.
