Tanjung Simpang Mengayau photos
Oopsss! I notice that I have not post any Tanjung Simpang Mengayau (aka The Tip Of Borneo) photos here in my blog. Anyway, these are the some of the photos that I found interesting to share with you…

Looks familiar to you?

The big globe at the Tip of Borneo.

Looks small eh? But compare it with the photo below.

See how small the person that I shoot compared to the stone?

The walkway to the tip, where the globe is…

The beach of Tanjung Simpang Mengayau, taken from the Tip of Borneo.

The geology of the Tip of Borneo, which influenced by the water and the wind.

First time i went there, that place gave me a shock… It is so heavenly and i’m speechless. What a beauty and a splendid art that Allah had created. I wish that they have chalet to stay in…

It is so beautiful. How may a family of four travel from KK to the Tip? And where to stay? Any suggestions, anyone? How long is the journey from KK to the Tip?

Yes Kuan, it is beautiful. The trip to the Tip of Borneo (above) is included in the Rungus Bavangazo Longhouse Maranjak Homestay. I have emailed you on the quotation.
Journey from Kota Kinabalu will take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.

Personally, It’s better that authorities don’t start building chalets or hotels there. It’s best preserved that way. All of us know what are the effects of commercialization to such heavenly place..

From what I heard from my father-in-law, there WILL be some development there. He even have a piece of land there, where he would want to build another Rungus Longhouse Homestay for travelers. He does not have the capital yet, he said. He DID asked me if I could find investors for the project…
But, I am not sure about hotels and chalets. I guess, it’s inevitable…

Nice photo you got there drizad…I’m a bit ashamed that I never put Simpang Mengayau photo in my blog yet even though I’m a Rungus that is staying in Kudat…anyway, I agree wit Kay that they mustn’t do too much development there..the natural habitat will be disturb if they gonna built chalet there…I think a Homestay program is better and yes, Rungus longhouse is the main idea…drizad, I seconded you father -in-law effort here..anyway, who is your father-in-law? maybe I’ve heard of him…I can ask my father if I don’t know because my father is from that area (Suangpai, nearby village to Tiga Papan)..once again, great photo…

We were in Kudat a few years ago and had wanted to go to Simpang Mengayau but because I wasn’t sure what was there, I couldn’t convince my husband to make the drive. Maybe when I show him these lovely pictures, we will make the trip over again one day.
