Kota Kinabalu

~The Best Place To Stay~

Would you prefer to print out this information? Find out how.
You'd get away from your daily routines and the regular faces - your boss, your mom, your sister, your neighbours, your friend, your cats and your dogs.... So, if you agree with me, then start planning for your journey to Mount Kinabalu. Keep in mind that you must put your budget as a "#1". There are many places to stay in Kota Kinabalu that are great, comfortable-and-affordable to stay while you're in Kota Kinabalu.
The trick is to do some pre-vacation research - a fancy way to say "find whatever information you can get on the hotels before you actually come to Kota Kinabalu." This include searching information on the Internet, seeking recommendation from people who has been there and asking directly to the the places' owners.
Accommodation for your journey can be divided into two components. The first one would be the place you stay overnight (or few nights) in Kota Kinabalu before and after going to Kinabalu Park HQ for the climb, and the second one would be the place to stay during the climb (Kinabalu Park HQ and Laban Rata). The first component of accommodation, which is in Kota Kinabalu, again can be divided into two categories. You can either choose to stay in a hotel or for budget traveler and backpackers, the lodges.

USEFUL TIPS

It is better for you to organize your place to stay in Kinabalu Park HQ first before you book a stay in Kota Kinabalu. You are allowed to climb Mount Kinabalu only after you have book the place to stay in Kinabalu Park. As the accomodation there is quite limited, make sure your place is booked and secured. It can save you time and money, as you do not have to stay any longer than you expected in Kota Kinabalu waiting for climbing accomodation availability.
