1. FREEBIES FOR THIS MONTH : BLOG

I know you like freebies. I like freebies too. There are a lot of freebies around the internet - if you know how to look for it. The most well-known freebies around the net for so long is a free email account from Yahoo and Google. But this time, the freebies that I want to share with you is BLOG.

Blog? What is a blog?

Well, for easy understanding, blog is a personal website.

Is it free?

Yes, there are few services on the net that gives you free blog.

Do I need to know how to create a website if I want to have a blog?

No, you do not need to. The blog services will give you some choices of pretty website templates and designs which you can choose one. So what can I do with it if I have one? Basically, you can do anything with it. You can write anything that you want or anything that you know. You can also write about your trip to Mount Kinabalu in your blog, and you can link your blog to my website or the blog. So, it will form a community of Mount Kinabalu climbers blogs with a similar interest and experiences.

As an example, I will show you few of my test blog around the net which uses free blog services:

2. NEW FEATURES FOR MKB.COM: PHOTO GALLERY

Good news for you! I manage to set up a new Mount Kinabalu Borneo.com Photo Gallery for you to put in your climbing pictures! After 6 months struggling and getting a lot of feedback from you, it is about time to have one.

I am dedicating the photo gallery for all of you, in which you can share your sweet memories on Mount Kinabalu with others. As you can see from the existing gallery, there are two categories / albums in it. One category is contributed by our good friend from Singapore, Ganesh which emailed me with 99 picture of his climb. The other one is mine, but still lack of photo.

If you want to get your photo in, just sign up for free and start posting your photo. For your convenience, I suggest that you resize your photo to 640×480 pixel, so that it will load fast in your browser. Oh, you don’t have to be a professional photographer to submit your photo. 3. MOUNT KINABALU INTERNATIONAL CLIMBATHON 2006
